If you are looking for a large mall that is perfect for shopping in the Macedonian capital, Skopje City Mall is the place to be. In Macedonia, there is a saying „Here you will find everything, from a needle to a locomotive” and oh does it apply here. Since opening its doors in Skopje 6 years ago, it is the largest mall in the country with the highest number of stores. The mall is located in the neighborhood of Karposh, around 4 kilometers away from the city center.
Although the address of City Mall Skopje is Ljubljanska 4, it is worth mentioning that it is located right on one of the largest boulevards in Macedonia (Partizanski Odredi), connecting the Skopje city center to the west side of this metropolis.
Getting there
Not being located in the central area of the city, but in the neighborhood of Karposh, first you will need to know how to get there.
One option, therefore, is to take one of the many bus lines that will bring you right in front of the City Mall Skopje. Most of them are passing the centrally located bus station – Rekord so it is safe to say that you can catch some of these lines from different points across Skopje. The bus lines that can take you to the mall are: 2, 2A, 4, 7, 11A, 11P, 15, 15A, 19, 19P, 21, 21Б, 22, 22P, 22А. Note that these lines can change from time to time, but it is rarely the case.
Another way to reach the mall is by taking a taxi, which will cost around 2.5 EUR from the city center. If you decide to visit Skopje City Mall by car, there are around 1.000 parking spots available on multiple levels that reach the mall directly.
Skopje City Mall parking
The working hours of the Skopje City Mall parking are from 8 a.m. until 1 a.m. The first half an hour is free and the following 4 hours will cost you 40 Denars (which is the equivalent of EUR 0.65). The price of leaving the car on the parking overnight is 20 euros but it won’t guarantee any additional safety so I’ll say just keep the money and park somewhere else. Like any other big parking in Macedonia, try not to lose your parking ticket, because otherwise you will have to pay a fee of around 10 euros.
Before leaving the mall, you need to pay your parking ticket on one of the automatic parking machines placed at each exit from the parking lot.
Parking is much pricier across other parts of Skopje, so I can say with certainty that leaving your car here for hours on end is the budget version. Plus, it is convenient.
It is important to mention that if you are using an electric vehicle you can charge your car at any time during the working hours of the parking. And this is super convenient!
Skopje City Mall working hours
The best thing about Skopje City Mall is that it is opened every day. In general, the working hours are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. However, some of the stores have different working hours. For example, the supermarket is opened from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., while the restaurants and the cinema are opened from 10 a.m. till 12 a.m. essentially changing, though slightly, the Skopje City Mall working hours.
Skopje City Mall shops
With approximately 150 shops, Skopje City Mall offers a wide variety of choices to its visitors. Regardless of whether you are on a budget or have more money to spend, you are in the right place. It is the only place in the capital where some of the famous commercial brands, such as ZARA, Stradivarius, Bershka, Massimo Dutty and Pull and Bear operate stores. City Mall Skopje was the first to introduce affordable yet fashionable venues in the country, and that’s why its popularity soared right away after opening its doors.
Some of the mid-range Skopje City Mall shops that are opened to visitors are Mango, Springfield, Timberland, Levi’s, Replay, Tommy Hilfiger, O-Bag etc. and for those that are more interested in the high-end fashion, Michael Kors, Armani, Versace, Karl Lagerfeld or Calvin Klein will make their shopping experience much better.
If you are a shoes lover, you can check the offer in Nine West, Aldo, Adam’s Shoes or Geox and for those visiting Skopje in the hot summer days, Ipanema’s flip flops might be the right choice. Bags can be found in Perfois, Carpisa and Mona, while MAC, Cosmo, DM and Anabela are the places where you can buy makeup and cosmetics.

Bozinovski, on the other hand is where watches and accessories meet perfection. These shops are another testament that the Skopje City Mall Brands range from affordable to luxurious, and that you can find something within any price range.
If you came to the mall with your kids or you are searching for an ideal gift for your close ones try the second floor of the mall. You will find a variety of toy stores and official partners of LEGO, Bratz and Burago.
On the ground floor, you can find the supermarket Ramstore were you can buy your groceries, and there is also the pharmacy Zegin, a bank and the T-Mobile and Vip shops where you can buy a mobile phone or a SIM card with a Macedonian number for your stay.
ATMs and the exchange office
In case you run out of Macedonian Denars, you can withdraw some money from the ATMs on the first floor or exchange your currency at the exchange office on the ground floor.
The restrooms
The facilities are always clean, and you’ll be surprise how spacious and accessible everything is in comparison to most of the other malls and venues in Skopje and the country at large. It is safe to say that Skopje City Mall raised the bar when it comes to hygiene, aesthetics and infrastructure altogether.
Skopje City Mall Cineplexx
If you want to catch up the latest blockbusters from Hollywood, in the mall you will find the biggest cinema in the whole country. Skopje City Mall Cineplexx offers 9 high-tech equipped spacious halls that promise great entertainment and excitement. The smell of freshly popped popcorn will take you to the second floor, right to the big lounge area where you can buy snacks and drinks while you wait for your movie to start.
Tickets prices range from 2 euros for a regular movie to 6 euros for a 3D movie, depending also on length. Furthermore, the price can depend on the day and the hour of the showing. For example, Tuesdays are promotional and you can get your tickets at half the price, while the prices during the weekends are somewhat higher.
You can get your tickets directly in the cinema, or you can buy them or reserve your seats online from the website of Cineplexx Macedonia.
Skopje City Mall restaurants
If you get hungry from all the shopping and want to grab a quick bite, on the second floor you will find the food corner. Aside from the international fast food chain restaurants like King Burger and KFC, you can also find small local fast food restaurants that offer gyro, doner, burgers, pastries, Chinese food, hot dogs, sandwiches and traditional foods.
For dessert you can treat yourself with pancakes from Nutella House, ice-cream from Radost, lollipops or candies from Sugar Land or fresh juice or smoothies from Juicy&Co.
On the ground floor, you can find three lounge bars (Trend, Brooklyn, and Ch2pter) that offer similar menus, including burgers, pizzas, salads and different kinds of pasta.
For those who prefer a more exclusive restaurant, Veneto Italian restaurant is placed on the second floor. The prices are higher, but the service is excellent. The ambient in the restaurant is luxurious and cozy, the food is delicious and here you can try some of the best wines Macedonia has to offer. Veneto is a testament to how the restaurants in Skopje City Mall can easily compare to some of the most luxurious venues in the country.
To have the full experience though, book a table on the balcony, were you can enjoy the view of Mount Vodno. But it is also nice that not only the Skopje City Mall restaurants enjoy the privilege of having a terrace with a spectacular view on Mount Vodno – the fast food corner also features a large and spacious terrace as well.
Entertainment in Skopje City Mall
Besides the cinema we mentioned earlier, there is plenty of other fun and recreational activities you can to in the mall. On the top floor, you can also find Bo Bowling were you can spend a few great hours with your friends. The place is equipped with 10 bowling lines and 2 pool tables and they offer great food and drinks. You can also celebrate your birthday here or organize a charity, corporate and private events.
Next to the bowling arena is the arcade corner or as we call it here, the paradise for kids. If you take your kids here forget about shopping because you will have a hard time making them leave.
During the weekend nights, the bars on the ground floor usually organize parties with live bands or DJs so you can also come here for few drinks and great entertainment.
Events and official vloggers of the mall
During the festive holiday season, as well as on special occasions, the mall organizes a garden variety of events for the visitors. So far there have been few car shows, April fool’s day contests and meet-ups with celebrities, Black Friday events, adrenalin and magician shows, and so many other events.
One of the most popular events for sure is Skopje City Mall birthday. On this day, each year, the mall organizes midnight shopping were the working hours of the shops are extended till after midnight so the visitors can enjoy the shopping and the huge discounts longer.
At the end of 2018, the mall selected two official vloggers that make special content for the YouTube channel and the social media profiles of Skopje City Mall. Ivan Ajnshtajn and Andrej pravi Vlogovi make content on a regular basis to promote the mall and to entertain the viewers and visitors.
